Aloha From Maine!

Aloha from Maine!

I made it.  The big goals I had in the last 6 months have all been completed.  I got to Florida with no issues: my maiden voyage was a success.  I got to see old friends in Texas.  Oh, and the Gem and Mineral Show in Tucson was a definite check in the box!  I got to see the Grand Canyon finally and walking thru Antelope Canyon was an incredible spiritual experience.  Navigating across the country, sleeping behind Cracker Barrels, carefully threading truck and trailer through gas stations....

It was all so amazing.

And now, here I am in Maine.  This was the last, big ticket item on my bucket list.  Actually, I prefer to call it my life list.  I had this deep, inner push to get here. I’m originally from Massachusetts, and I’ve lived in New Hampshire – but until this push started sometime last year, I’d not considered Maine as a possibility.  But, I feel like I’m home.  I feel like I’m where I should be – at least for now.

Getting here safely and finding a great place to park, gave me the ability to get started on the next phase of my plan.  I started research on what it would take to begin a doctorate program of Acupuncture.  I’m always talking about the importance of growth, and this just felt like the next logical step for that growth.

So now I’m looking for a place to overwinter here.  The course of studies is 8 months, which will take me into the middle of next year.   Coming off the road for a while feels alright to me.  It feels like it is full of possibilities.  I did say I would let the Universe make the big decisions – and I believe this is one of them.

I’ve written about being scared and living my life anyways.  I don’t know any other way to be.  Looking back over my life, it’s been a series of jumps into the unknown.  Some mistakes, sure – but everything led to something better.  All those left turns and blind alleys, and missteps made me stronger, and taught me how resilient I could be.  I learned to trust myself and the journey.  And here again, I find myself at a jumping off place.  Where will this lead?  How will this change the way I practice healing?

I honestly cannot wait to find out!
